I saw God Once When I Was Little

For the first time in a long time I have a very light drama watching schedule. I'm really just watching A Thousand Kisses, Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, and Vampire Prosecutor. For the first time in ages, my schedule is so free, because subtitles for each drama come out slowly. And, because I've finished with everything for the semester - all I have to do is look for a job. . .and wait for interviews.


There are several different dramas I'm thinking of starting, but I'm unable to chose. So, I was wondering what my flist thinks. Should I watch:

Man of Honor
Tree with Deep Roots/Deep Rooted Tree
Warrior Baek Dong Soo
something else you'll tell me about in comments

I'm working on my death/loss project and have decided to use the trailer for a French film that I remember seeing. I think it was called "Lily", but I'm most likely wrong. The way I first heard of the trailer was becoming someone - a few years back - made a Yamaki (Pi and Horkita Maki) trailer using clips from their shows and the trailer for the sound. The trailer/film is about a girl, who starts to suspect something is wrong when her twin brother disappears. Her parents say it's fine and she starts to receive letters from her brother, but she still suspects something is amiss.


Does anyone know what this film's title is? Or maybe they have a link to the original fan-made trailer, because I'm sure I could find the actual trailer if I had that. Just a shot in the dark, but if you can help - thanks sooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My birthday was in May. I've been saving my money and have decided to get myself a new handbag. The only thing is, the bag comes in several colors and I just cannot chose. I'm not a fancy girl - when I'm not doing my internship, I'm in jeans and a tee. So, I thought a mellow color. Gray or Red or Black or Honeysuckle for the Fall/Winter?

I just can't decide!

I've only watching six Asian dramas right now: Gloria, Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso, Dae Mul, Guilty, Q10, and Mary Stayed Out All Night aka Marry Me, Mary!. Normally, that would be enough to keep me busy, but Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso, Dae Mul and Q10's subtitles are coming slowly. While Gloria and Mary are getting very angsty. Guilty is great, but there are only two or three episodes left. Which leads me to this:

As I wait for the angst to end, subtitles, and wait for the Doctor Who Christmas special and S3 of Being Human - Are there any cute/fun/family dramas that aired this season/last season that I should be watching? I think you guys know what I've watched, but just in case:

My finals for this semester are next week! Well, only Thursday. (One final - on three chapters!) And that means its time to get back into fandom stuff. Such as fics (yes, Baby Nobuta-Akria will be born. . .someday) and fanvids.



I normally don't vid a series until it is completely finished, but I'm watching somethings right now and I can't wait to vid them. One is Gloria - it's a long one, so I'm thinking of vidding something with the first twelve episodes, then something with episodes twelve through twenty-four, etc, etc. Basically a video for every twelve-thirteen episodes. I'm also thinking of making a video for Mary Stayed Out All Night's first nine or ten episodes, and later doing another video to cover episodes eleven-sixteen.


That's where you guys come in. Looking back at my other vids, I noticed that most of them have angsty undertones. I want to do something cheerful for Mary, but can't think of a song. I only use English language songs, because I like to follow the lyrics. So, anyone have any ideas? As for Gloria (and indeed Giant pre-craziness - think MW/Miju's early interactions and the early angst, where it looked hopeful) - well, I have some ideas. But, I'm willing to take requests.



Basically - I want to fanvid, and need a bit of a push. Thanks to anyone who responds. I just need some English language songs and maybe a request or two.

Okay, I'm in such a mood for some good old fashion Korean melodrama. I saw a trailer for the American release of Tree of Heaven and remembered how Stairway to Heaven drove me insane. So, this past month I watched Sad Love Song and really enjoyed it. So, knowing my flist are lovers of Korean dramas, I could with a question:


What are so "old school" Korean melodramas (or epic dramas (think Giant, Seoul 1945) should I be watching?

Dear Flist,

I'm in the market for a new anti-virus protection program. I've tried several over the years: Spyware Doctor, Kaspersky, McAfee, and Norton. All of them seemed to do alright for a few months, but after a while they stopped working as well. So, I was wondering what you guys would rec? Maybe all of you/some of you know some good anti-virus programs that I've over looked. I've heard good things about webroot, but it seems costly.


Any help would be awesome.

EDIT: Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I went to the store and all they had was Norton, McAfee, and Kaspersky. I took Kaspersky, as it's meant to be one of the best.

I don't talk about it much here, but I'm a big manga reader. I read my first manga in the 10th grade or so. My parents, sisters, and I were at the bookstore and my younger sister found a manga she wanted. My mom agreed to buy the manga and asked me if I wanted a "comic" too. I agreed. Looking through the shelves I spotted volume one of Chobits and thought the cover was pretty. After that, well. . .I was hooked. Over the years I've read several mangas by many authors and I've gone so far as to collect a few series.


I've been following a few series for the last couple of years and now I've found that all but two of my series are ending soon. I'm in a manga mood and I know a few of my f-listers read manga/manhwa regularly, so I thought I'd ask for recs. To make things easy, I'm including a list of mangas I own or read and some brief thoughts on them.

I think I ended up giving reviews of the mangas toward the end, so I'm sorry about that.



I was at Borders the other day and knowing that after August I'd only have three or four mangas to read - two of which as slowly being put out for different reasons - I decided to pick up something new. Plus, the Borders I was at has manhwa and I've wanted to try one for a long while. I picked up volumes one and two of The Bride of the Water God, due to the awesome reviews it's gotten. I also picked up volume one of Dengeki Daisy, because. . .well. . .the cover was pretty. (Yes, I am shallow)


I do believe now is a good time to get into a new series or two because all the companies are starting new mangas and manhwas this summer. There are a lot of volume ones on the shelves at the bookstores. My only question is: what should I try?
