So, Whose Your Favorite Hanazawa Rui?

Fans of Hana Yori Dango will know this: South Korea is doing their own show using the manga. And, they're calling it Boys Before Flowers. It's meant to come out sometime in 2008, but who knows when.



On the bright side, it seems as if casting has begun: Hanazawa Rui - the guy that all the girls love, but who can't seem to keep a girlfriend - will be played by singer/actor Kim Hyun Joong. He's twenty-two and the oldest/leader of some group called SS501.



As for acting, he was in one series of the sitcom Nonstop, as a guest. He was also in the (kind of mean) reality show We Got Married. So - who knows if he can act, but he certainly looks the part.



No word on the other F4 members or on Makino herself. Let's just hope they keep the cast fairly young. I really don't want a 27 year old Makino, whose supposed to be 16/18. (I say this because there is a rumor that a singer whose 27 could play Makino)

I kinda like him, to be honest. I admit I don't know much about the band, but he's got charisma and he can be charming. And he's cute.

So hopefully, the acting skillz will follow. If not I might just watch for the pretty.

I hope he does have acting skills. That character is supposed to have charisma and be charming, but aloof at the same time. I hope this guy can pull it off. Now, I'm interested in who else they cast.

I agree. The Taiwanese version followed the manga so well; and the Japanese verison had the perfect cast and that perfect balance of manga/realness. I hope this one is awesome.
