TV Casting News Make a Girl Happy + DELL, Mac, Sony, HP? It's like asking me to pick my favorite kid

I don't know who to hug, but I want to hug someone. I've just read about casting news for several winter series that I'm looking forward to, as well as some great Doctor Who S4 casting news.








First -


Rose is back for S4 of DW! Now, maybe it's for an episode and maybe she won't even have a scene with the Doctor and maybe she'll have 'moved on', but . . . I don't care. 'Cause she's back!




Second -


The full cast lists for several winter J-dramas are out and I'm really excited about Hachimitsu to Kuroba's cast list. I mean, just look at it:


Narumi Riko as Hanamoto Hagumi
Ikuta Toma as Takemoto Yuta
Narimiya Hiroki as Morita Shinobu
Mukai Osamu as Mayama Takumi
Harada Natsuki as Yamada Ayumi







Also, Yamada Ryosuke is cast in 1 pound no fukuin, which almost makes up for the fact that they casted Kuroki Meisa as the supporting/main female lead.






Plus, Oguri Shun has the lead role in a comedy called Binbo Danshi. It might be cute.






I'll also be keeping an eye on Bara no nai Hanaya (I need a nice grown up drama after the crack!tastic YC), Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi (Tamaki Hiroshi & Ayase Haruka in one series - together? Awesome!), Daisuki! (It looks like it will be a good drama to cry over, Plus, Hiraoka Yuta.),Mirai Koshi Meguru (Crack!tastic, maybe. I'll see.).





And, of course I'm also looking forward to Atsu-hime and Sasaki Fusai no Jingi Naki Tatakai . . . because, have you seen their cast lists? These two shows seriously have gotten some of the best up and coming stars and the stars that made Japanese tv, stage, and film great.





'08 looks to be a promising year for tv overseas. Can't wait!







Lastly, I'm in the market for a new notebook computer, but I'm not sure what I want to go with. My parents are pushing a DELL, while others are saying a HP or Sony is a good choice - if only for pretty colors and cool graphic programs, and finally there is the Mac. I fear Windows Vista, but . . . I do think a DELL, HP, or Sony might be the best choice. While, I'm sure a Mac is better in terms of not getting infected with malware and useful programs, the cost is up there. Plus, for the price do you really get a lot? If you spend $2,587 for a DELL, you do get tons on bonus programs. And, I like the looks of HP and Sony. So . . . if anyone has any thoughts I'd be grateful.

I wouldn't advise an HP. From personal experience, it has a lot of gimmicks but few are actually useful. And the help service is absolute crap.

Sony, on the other hand, is a good investment. I have a Sony Vaio now and it works wonders.

I was thinking seriously about a Sony Vaio. I have to ask: how is Windows Vista? I have heard so many negative things about it, that it would be the only reason why I don't go for a Sony Vaio or a DELL.

I have XP on my Vaio. Vista looks like wannabe Mac to me. And I'm not a fan of the clutter of Mac's.

I say get a mac, I have one and I love it so much. What kind of programs would you like to use? I mean you get itunes, imovie, iphoto, iweb with a mac and trust me you can all the other stuff for free online if you know where to look.

Well, the laptop will be used for school, so of course I need really good writing programs, etc. But, I also want to use it for play: making vids and icons, as well as downloading new eps of my fav shows and than buring them to disc. I kind of want my laptop to not be a plain black too.
