zainichi_hana again. What can I say about that? Well, there's certainly some drama. So what, all the pre-series stories are all about the drama while the series itself brings the funny? Yeah, pretty much.
In Not Quite, Jiro mentioned that 'the idiots' aka Fuji and Jeni had made a list with things Jeni had to do before she died. This story is about the making of that list. You see Jeni beinng very mature about the whole thing, and you see Fuji trying to make Jeni feel better about where she is and what could happen to her. Theirs is a very sweet and pure friendship that I love writing and exploring.

"It’s a list: ‘Twenty Things to Do Before I Die’."
This is the longest Zainichi_Hana story that I've written. In it Hiro and Fuji (who have yet to properly meet, and who won't properly meet for another year and three months) have an eye opening conversation about . . . things. They meet at Fuse Hospital and just have this talk that sort of came out of me.
I saw these two as being two guys that brought the funny when together. Yet, they very first time they meet they have a very intense conversation about death and Jeni and how Fuji really feels about the way his best friend is living. If anything, I think this story gives way more insight into the Fuji character.

Author's Note: Unbeta'ed. Takes place a year and roughly two months before the series. Yes, I'm slowly putting all the characters together. The title comes from a song on the Cowboy Bebop's Blue soundtrack. Somehow I could picture it playing in the background of this scene.

Finally, it's a story that takes place within the actual series. I dub it a 'future' fic. Clearly, it comes from watching too many romance dramas. It's a bit sad, a bit regretful. And, I love the last line.
