While looking through Dramawiki (which is annoying with all the ads now) I noticed that someone had been casted as Sister Angela for the new drama,1 Pound no Fukuin. And that person is none other than Kuroki Meisa. A few people had guessed she'd be casted in the role, and it seems those people were right. But, to be frank I'm not thirlled with the casting news.
Now, Kuroki Meisa is a very pretty girl, but I'm not sure how I feel about her acting skills. She's alright, but I don't think she's up to being the female lead in a drama. Is it wrong that my first thought was: 'I bet Horikita Maki pushed for her to get the job.'?
Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see how it goes. I've been unsure about actors playing certain roles before *coughKameasaromanticleadcough*, but it's worked out in the past.

And really, she's not necessarily the female lead as much as she is Kame's supporting love interest. Kame's the solo lead in this one. But aside from that, I'm having a hard time imagining Kame and her pairing in my head. It's just not working right. I'll wait to actually see the drama. :)

She may be the supporting female, but she's still the romantic female lead. And, I really don't think she can pull it off. My head hurts when I try and think of her as Kame's romantic interest and as a 'lead' in a drama. I guess I'll have to wait and see, as you said.
Ummmm

Date: 2007-11-20 09:46 pm (UTC). acting skills are important .. but chimestry between the 2 main rule are more important.. (i don't want thise to end up like Sapuri , Ito Masaki and Kame were really great at playing there rules ..but there love scenes were awkward because there is no chimestry between them..)..
That is very true. You can have two of the best actors in the world and they can be their characters, but if they have no romantic chemistry, then its all over for the love story.
