Is it stupid, or just good business?

I was given a Books-A-Million gift card for Christmas, which was really nice. Only, it turns out you can only use the gift cards bought from the stores in the stores. You can't use them on-line. Which sucks for me, as every book I want is only on-line and not at my local Books-A-Million.

It seems stupid to me, as every other bookstore allows you to spend gift cards bought in stores on-line. But, maybe it's actually smart business. Anyone have any thoughts?

See if the store will order them for you . If not let me know & I'll buy the books for you online & you can send me the gift card, its the least I can do for one of my fave Dex writers:)

Oh, I'm sure they will order them for me. Of course, I may end up deciding on totally different books by the time I go back to the store. lol. I really need some book recs, as I'm so confused on what to buy. Ah, I'll be on amazon.com for a while, I'm sure.

Oops, my bad. :) Sorry I was on meds when I typed that reply. The offer is genuine,about the gift card. It came from the heart, I dn't think I have ever read any of your fic & not enjoyed it. I really appreciate all your hard work,. I am a huge fan of ppl's fandom efforts, especially since I have no talent myself. So whenever I can offer assistance I try. I have had ppl send me gift cards for stores that only are in their state & its benn a Pain so, been there done that.
