Birthday, the after story.

My 22 birthday is nearly over. It was what it was and it is nearly over. BBQ, lovely cake (that turned my mouth a great shade of blue), and fifty dollars (er, twenty-five. They already owed me twenty-five from Christmas.) from my parents. Overall it was nothing big or exciting nor was it anything to remember.
I find that I'm not really into birthdays once they come. I kind of get excited the week and days before, but on the day it's 'Eh, it's another day. Whatever.' Most people get that way in their late thirties or forties, I got that way at about seventeen.
It isn't that I don't care or that I didn't have a nice day. It's just that my birthday isn't really that big of a deal anymore. Odd, maybe even a little sad, but true.
