Notes: I don’t own them. Comes after ‘Twelve Months’; Written for 52_flavours

 

His dreams were now full of long legs, dark hair, and wide chocolate eyes. He dreamed of pale skin and long fingers tracing the length of his body. He dreamed of a tiny mouth and pink tongue moving along every inch of his man hood. In his dreams, he wondered who the dancing pixies were that made him so gorram excited. In his dreams he felt completely in tune with his mystery woman.

In his waking hours, it was another matter. He pretended he didn’t know who he was dreaming of. He ignored her and her smiles and laugher. He ignored her as she played with Kaylee in the cargo bay or with Wash on the bridge. He was never mean to her, but he never went out of his way to be kind to her, either. If she needed help or watching, he was there. But, the second Simon or Inara or Kaylee or Book came by, he’d push her of on them and go on his merry way.

If wasn’t that he didn’t like her; hell, recent events showed he did. It was just…just that being around her when he was wake made the dreams so much more fast and frequent. If he spent too much time around her during the day, he was going to have tiny fractions of dreams all night. Yet, spending just a few minutes with her a day, well…that meant one long-ass dream that lasted all night; he liked those the best.

“Someone’s flying around your head.” She told him one night, just as he was heading off to his bunk.

“Nobody’s doin’ ‘nothin ‘round my head.” Jayne replied with a snort.

She

rolled her big old eyes. “Liar.” And before he could come up with a decent come-back, she was gone.

Oddly enough, that night his dream seemed to last forever. He dreamed of her and him and sexin’ that was just a bit more meaningful then his sexin’ had been in a while. He dreamed of long legs, dark hair, and wide chocolate eyes. He dreamed of pale skin and long fingers tracing the length of his body.

Jayne dreamed of River and the next day, he didn’t pretend he hadn’t.

I really like this. I read another fic kinda like this where she's like, two, four six. two months of courting, then 2 of engagement and in 6 months a baby. It was really cute, and I really liked it, so I'm thinking I'm gonna like this too because I already do.
