My cat. . .
Apr. 11th, 2011 07:10 pmis being put down tonight. He's 14 years old. He, Oliver, had a tumor in his stomach that was growing. The tumor had pushed his organs to one side. In fact his lungs were going up his throat - which was why he was drooling - he couldn't breath.
I have many pets, but Oliver is/was my (and my parents) favorite. He was a sweet, gentle, funny cat. I'll miss him terribly. There is a part of me that wishes he could have hung on for a bit longer, but he was starving to death and wasn't able to breath. My younger sister was with him when they put him to sleep, so I'm glad he wasn't alone.
I'll miss Oliver, and I hope he's somewhere beautiful. I hope to see him again, someday.
Edit: thanks for all your kind thoughts. They help.
