Doctor Who - Brief Thoughts
Jun. 26th, 2010 04:22 pmMy brief thought is this: Maybe Moffat can plot a series? I still think he has issues with continuity and character development, but now some of my unanswered questions make sense. It is very much a fairy tale ending; maybe it's even a bit corny. And, did anyone else get a Tim Burton-ish feeling during the first six minutes and then the last ten minutes? Or was that just me.
Overall, I have to say that this new series was very hit-or-miss for me. I do think there were more bad or meh type episodes than really excellent episodes for S5, but I did love the chemistry between Matt and Karen - very much a best friend with slight UST type thing. Rory/Amy are so my OTP of the new Doctor who (aside from Doctor/Rose), because. . .come on! he did so much for her.
I think that S6 will need some of the kinks worked out. I'm also hoping that Rory will be a full-time Companion. He cannot die again!
