Summary: Henry watches Andrews and Simon. But, it's not like she's stalking them
I see them sometimes, though I hardly know what to make of them. They both seem perfectly ordinary. No, they seem to be exceptionally normal. No one could ever be as common as these two pretend to be. I suppose, that’s why I notice them so much, their average-ness catches people’s attention.
They walk around, one always pushing a cleaning cart, and whisper things to one another. The younger one nearly always has headphones on and both always ignore everyone around them. At first I thought they were lovers; then, I caught the younger one flipping through a copy of some porn magazine. He was hiding in the women’s toilet and . . . he was just reading it; as if he were looking at a copy of a home improvement magazine. So, I guess they are just . . . exceptionally normal. That alone makes them absolutely unique and abnormal.
I see them sometimes, though I wouldn’t say I’m stalking them or anything. I’m not crazy. I’m a university student and they work for the university, so of course we’d run into one another. Not that we. . .run into each other. It’s more like I watch them and they have no idea I exist. Not that I want them to know I exist. Because, I don’t. I just find them. . .odd. As a psychology student, I’m allowed to find perfectly normal people odd. Ask anyone.
Anyway, yes . . . I see them around the university sometimes and they are curiously normal. That’s the only reason I find myself watching them.
Because, no one can be that dull and not be hiding something.
