If I made Cinderella, the audience would immediately be looking for a body in the coach.

When I write a story, what do readers immediately look for?
If you could ask any of three of my characters (from fanfic or original) any three questions, what would you ask them?

1. Ling'er: why is yellow your favorite color?
2. Taka: what makes you happy these days?
3. Eddie: what's the best part of being a father?
(SO STEALING THIS, BTW.)

2. These days? My family is good. I think they make me happy. I don't smile, I know. But, I am happy.
3. I didn't set out to be a father. The only reason I brought Haru to Aoi was to make her happy. But, you know. . .I'm more like Chan-wook then I want to admit. Having these kids makes me happy. I pass on the family business, I save them, they make me a man. Is that the best? Guess so.
