It starts April 27th. It seems too soon, as it feels like the cast and the main storylines were finalized a couple of weeks ago. That worries me, as I have a feeling the first few episodes will be very rushed. Also, a few things have been changed. The title is now The Greatest Love.

The synopsis is as follows: Ae Jung(Gong Hyo Jin) is a female band member who is already over the hill. When she enters a variety show to pretend marriage with the top star (Cha Seung Won), she gets entangled in a love triangle along with her bandmate (Yoo In Na). Yoon Pil Joo (Yoon Kye Sang)is a doctor of oriental medicine who has no interest in the entertainment industry but meets Ae Jung by chance and falls for her.

I have to admit, the synopsis worries me. GHJ's character is no longer an actress, but an "over the hill" (she's 31 in real life!) singer. The reminds me of I Am Legend, and not in a good way. And, there's a pretend marriage? Oy! Those are getting old, Korean Drama Writers. I'm also hoping the start date is wrong, because I think they haven't even started filming.

You know, I used to love the Hong Sisters, but I feel that they are doing too many dramas too close together. And, that is leading to them falling back on bad ideas and going more and more for the cliches. We'll see where this goes.

Well, personally for me their latest drama My Girlfriend is a Gumiho was the best one yet. After I watched it I thought they improved a lot. But I'm a bit worried as well. Part of the success behind Gumiho was the fantasy element of it. If they have to do another normal romcom dealing with idols/singing they might have to fall back on a lot of cliches they already utilized in their previous dramas. Plus, I didn't like their idol drama You're Beautiful, so I don't have a lot of hope for this either.

I thought MGIAG was a bunch of missed opportunities, I really wanted it to explore the gumiho's dark side more.

But I love the concept of this show. I'm a fan of WGM and it feels like it's going to be similar to it. I can just imagine the sly digs the Hong sisters will come up with.

It does seem like news of this drama and its cast just came out, but hopefully the Hong sisters will have a lot of scripts ready so it's not last minute shoots that can ruin it.

I agree. It took a bit too long for them to get the storyline really going.

I've read the character stuff, and it seems the female lead goes on some type of dating show. So, maybe they will play with the WGM stuff? I hope so.

I liked My Girlfriend is a Gumiho toward its end. I think it took a bit too long to get started. I actually had the opposite with You're Beautiful, I liked the show from the start until about the middle. I actually think that is the Hong sisters biggest issue: their dramas either start out really well and get boring or they start out slow and then get really good.

Yeah, their dramas since HGD have not been working for me.

Well, we'll see if the streak continues.

I liked the start of You're Beautiful the last six episodes of My Girlfriend. But, I think the Hong sisters haven't done a really solid drama since HGD. I read the character descriptions for the show, and they sound good. Plus, having an older cast makes me hopeful that they won't get too silly. I like a bit of comedy in my rom-coms (of course!), but sometimes I think the Hong sisters take it too far.

Could this be an April Fool's joke from them?
I'm speculating all kinds of news today XD

The stuff was put up March 31st, so I'm not sure. I do know the first script reading was Thursday/Friday. And, most places are saying follows Royal Family which ends April 20th. So. . .I'm not sure.
