Vidder's Note: I've wanted to do this video for a long while. It's basically my ode to the romantic-comedies/romances of the Hong Sister Dramas. Their dramas were some of my first Korean dramas, and I still love them. While I may have mixed feelings on their two newest works, I still hold a place in my heart for all their quirky characters.

Your right, they have some of the better dramas out there. Their dramas might not be groundbreaking but they can worm their way into your heart. Delightful Girl Choon Hyang were some of my first Kdramas too.

I had heard about that drama! Seems they are finally jumping on the older woman/younger man bandwagon and are setting it in the entrainment world - with a fading actress and an up-and-comer. I heard they were looking at Lee Seung Ki for the male lead and Gong Hyo Jin for the female lead. Not sure how I feel about that; I personally think LSK is better is less goofy roles.

Same here, LSK was amazing in Brilliant Legacy but I really can't get into Gumiho. I'm really excited though just to have another one of their dramas! Its amazing how fast they've been churning them out lately.

Yes. I'm excited for another Hong Sister Drama, but it worries me. I thought You're Beautiful got weak toward the end, and had many plot holes. The same with My Girlfriend. . . - it was a bit weak at the end. It makes me worried that they are working too fast or losing steam.

I have the same concerns. But I think a weak second half is pretty typical of a Hong Sisters drama. Choon Hyang was seriously dragging for most of the second half and it was the same with Hong Gil Dong.

But I agree with you, over the years they haven't been producing dramas as well as they used to.

True. True. Their dramas tend to start off very strong, and around episode 8 or 10, they tend to get a bit weak. Still, they are fun dramas and are better than most rom-coms.

Yes, the Hong sisters are doing a lot of dramas lately. I like it, but I also find their last two dramas haven't been as good as their last ones.
