Quick Thoughts on Dream High's Ep. 9 Preview

Does anyone else find it telling that The Misfit Class are in white for their dance number and the group 'K' (minus Jason, because he's with the Misfit Class for some reason) are in black? I do!


The Misfit Class: HM, SD, PS - they do it for the love of singing and/or dancing. Would debuting be cool? Hell, yes! But, for them, it's more about the music. (Jason also fits this, even if he has debuted with the group 'K'.)They are more "pure" in their love of it all.

The Group K: BH, JG, Ria, the other guy (not sure who it is), all seem to want and need to be famous. They are in it for the fame - to be loved. They almost need that love and those awe inspired looks to be happy. They are more "dark" then the Misfits Class. Hence, the darker tone of their show and the black outfits.


Look at Dream High using symbolism in its episodes. Anyway, just my thoughts.

I really like your analysis of the two groups, it makes a lot of sense and makes the drama more complex.

Theres a time skip coming up soon right?

I think we already had the only time jump. The last ten minutes of episode eight skipped ahead 200 days (or roughly six months)

Honestly? Neither. I think SD is talented and loyal and brilliant - but, he needs to mature. I think JG basically loves HM because she was the first person to treat him with real affection; he's looking for parental love and acceptance from her. Meanwhile, HM needs to focus on growing up, taking care of her sister, and finding her dream.


They are in high school, so even if they get together, it doesn't mean they'll be together forever. That said, if I had to pick - if there was a gun to my head - I'd go with SD. He's a better actor, and he's just so pure and kind - he makes HM happy.

They most definitely used black/white symbolically, this trick is a little too thick , but hey! This is Dream High!

Too true. It is aimed at teens/twenty-somethings. They must think that group won't get it. But, we do!
