The wonderful ockoala has put up the written preview for episode eight of Dream High. It will air next week, as tomorrow the station is playing a big sports match of some sort. With episode eight, the drama hits its half-way mark, and things are being to heat up.
Jin Gook/Hye Mi/Sam Dong
- Jin Gook escapes from his dad, but is too late meeting Hye Mi.
- In classic K-drama fashion, they keep misunderstanding one another. Thus, the distance between them gets bigger and bigger.
- Meanwhile, Sam Dong is forced into the Sensitive Secondary Guy Role as he watches over Hye Mi; his own heart secretly breaking for her.
Baek Hee and Hye Mi
- Beak Hee gets to debut because of her success at the Big Showcase. She does an interview in which she thanks Hye Mi.
- Hye Mi sees Beak Hee as she once was and begins to wonder: "Am I the Evil One in this story? Is Beak Hee my victim?"
Pil Sook/Jason
- After helping with The Misfits Showcase, Pil Sook thinks Jason likes her. So, she decides to confess.
My Thoughts:
I'm going to say it: Jin Gook is the Hero of this piece; he'll get the girl (at least while they are in high school/early 20s - who knows about later). This story may be about the journey of all the characters, but Sam Dong is being toted as the lead. I have a strong feeling he's 'K'.
As for Beak Hee: it seems a bit soon for her debut. I thought people had to work for at least a year or more, before releasing a single. Anyway - it's true that her mother, the people she used to go to school with, and even Hye Mi helped in making her unstable - and she is unstable - but, Hye Be isn't the Villain in Beak Hee's story. No, that role belongs to Beak Hee herself.
I will be honest and say that I won't mind if both girls have it out: if Hye Mi says she's sorry for the way she used to treat Beak Hee and if Beak Hee comes clean about the locker stuff and the flower pot. I don't think - unless a miracle happens - that the two can ever be friends again, but I could see them being friendly rivals. I think we have to remember that this isn't real life: it's a Korean drama and these are teenagers: they will get punished for their bad deeds, but in the end, they'll all get redeemed in some way.
Pil Sook and Jason's bit worries me. Because the video preview does make it seem like Jason rejects her. And, the way she's working out - I'm worried its because (or she thinks its because) of her weight. (Jason, please don't be a normal/average teenager and reject someone because of their weight. You are clearly in love with her voice. And, she's the sweetest person ever. Plus - she is pretty) I will be honest and say I ship these two the most, so I want a bit of happiness for Pil Sook soon - she's my favorite.
