I just. . .you have five episodes left. Things are coming together and I can see the Lee Brothers getting their revenge, but. . .
Min-woo is going to fully turn into Satan Jr. isn't he? Miju and Min-woo aren't getting a happy ending are they? That adorable little boy will have to grow up without a dad, won't he?
You kind of suck for this.

Date: 2010-11-23 01:55 pm (UTC)I agree with you - it was excellent until the midway point. After that the plot holes became bigger and bigger and by 40s or so nothing could distract me from the biggest plothole of all - the ridiculous (lack of) revenge plot. I mean, while the Lee Bros were talking about revenge and doing nothing, JPY had decades in which he could torment more people (Lees included) and grow richer and more powerful. Some revenge.
Re: MW/Miju. Anything is possible but the problem is that by now I am not sure I would buy it when/if it happens! The fact that Wooju is MW's bio kid is really the red herring, not the real issue so when MW finds out the truth, it will not really change anything. The issue isn't WJ's paternity - he was willing to be father to him even when he thought this was a product of cheating. The issue is Miju pushing him away/concealing facts/lying etc, and that is not going to be fixed by finding out Wooju is his kid. Nor will that fix the fact of his current actions - he now knows all the bad blood between the families/JPY's actions and he is actively going out of his way to hurt Lees. This is a huge difference from "your Dad killed mine when you were in training pants/way before we met you had a temporary bout of insanity and tried to kill the man you didn't know was my bro." What MW is doing now, in full possession of his faculties and most of the facts is something that is beyond hard to get over in a relationship.
And it's not as if MW doesn't know his father is a manipulative psycho so I can't see some big reveal on that score changing him (or his lack of knowledge of same being used too excuse him).
I really think they are at a dead end with MW/Miju, which is a pity.

Date: 2010-11-23 02:21 pm (UTC)Re: MW/Miju: Maybe its because I just did a video part (for a multifandom vid) of them, that I'm feeling warm toward them. Maybe its because I've only watched up to episode 40 with subtitles, that I still want it to work. But, I understand your points - MW has gone over and I don't think they can make it work. His rivalry with GM has turned them both into shadows of their former selves - GM to a less extent as he has family and friends who love him. Plus, I really dislike Miju for all her lies - I can sort of understand why she did so at the start, but now - it's really make her - who was once the most pure and likable character - unlikeable. Also, I loved that WJ was MW's shining light - that he was willing to be his father, that MW wanted to be WJ's father. And, now WJ has been shipped off. MW is truly alone and goodness knows what he'll do now.
I just hope he isn't "redeemed" by taking a bullet for a Lee Brother or Miju.
Oh, and, because of the Asian Games: Mary isn't airing today. First they postpone Gloria for two weeks and now this crap. It doesn't even make sense. Mary airs on KBS2 and KBS1 is airing all the news reports on the game.
