Is anyone else watching this Sat/Sun Korean drama? I'm so obsessed with the secondary couple of Ha Dong Ah and Jung Yoon Seo. He's the poor gangster and fighter raising his young nephew and she's the quiet and suicidal illegitimate daughter of a rich businessman. Together, they make up the most adorable and angst-filled OTP I've seen on a Sat/Sun drama, in like, ever. Subtitles for episodes one thru seven are out, but I've been watching RAW; the last three episodes have really driven home the fact that these two are meant to be, at least in my eyes.

Last week, Dong Ah found out that Yoon Seo is engaged to Lee Kang Suk. Yoon Seo isn't interested in Kang Suk, it was her father and his parents that put the engagement in place. Since Yoon Seo is floating through life (seriously, she's so depressed when she's not around DA, it's amazing her family doesn't care - her mother uses her as a way of getting her father's attention and YS's father is only around when he has something he wants YS to do) she agreed to it. Dong Ah became upset and "broke up" with Yoon Seo. Yoon Seo tried to kill herself, while Dong Ah went to Kang Suk's fight club and the two men beat the crap out of each other.

Later, Dong Ah visited a sleeping Yoon Seo in the hospital (after he found out she was there and rushed over). I have no idea what he said, but the scene was heartbreaking. DA spend all of episode fifteen sitting around the hospital, or waiting outside, hoping to hear news of Yoon Seo's condition. Sadly, just before Yoon Seo woke up, Dong Ag left.

Tomorrow promises even more angst: Yoon Seo will seek Dong Ah out, and it looks like he roughly turns her away. It's not that he doesn't care, but I'm sure he feels hurt and embarrassed. He may even be thinking she was using him for a fun time before her marriage.

With all this angst and with all their buildup since the very start. . .these two have got to have a happy ending. They just have to. Yoon Seo is too sad and alone with him; Dong Ah is happiest with her.

I am! I am obsessed with them! I am a bit behind due to Giant wallowing but I plan to catch up this week.

Catch up. I need someone to talk about this with. It's odd because I love Bae Doo Na, but am not warming up to her character. Suh Ji Suk is also really well casted, but. . .uh, I'm not that interested in Kang Suk. I'm also scared of Lee Ji Suk - he needs to stop stalking Yoon Seo. For me, this show is all about Yoon Seo and Dong Ah. They actually remind me of the secondary couple in I Am Happy - she was a ballerina and he was a boxer; that OTP didn't end well. But. . .I'm really hoping these two do.

I looked up the script writers other dramas: Stars Falling From the Sky, Family Honor, How to Meet Your Perfect Neighbor - they all had good endings. I'm really hoping these two end up happily living somewhere with Dong Ah's nephew.
