Jan. 26th, 2005 06:04 pmI've started thinking about religion. Personally, I don't believe in organized religion. But, with the country in an uproar about gay marriage I started thinking about religion which made me think about marriage. I just want to know what the deal is with the government saying people of the same sex cannot get married. Anyone remember the separation of church and state? Right. Okay, but then those overly reigilous people start in with their whole: 'It was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve' thing. Okay, fine. But, if people really love each other and they are both mature enough to understand the whole idea of marriage, why can't they get married? Over half of straight marriages end up breaking up, but I know same sex couples that have been together for years and years. It's enough to make a person want to boycott ever getting married.
