Watched Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles' season/series(?) finale and -
I think my one reaction is: "That was fast and what the hell just happened?"
Did Cameron's body not go through because her chip was gone? And, I know people now want Allison/John, but I'm a solid John/Cameron girl. Besides, it would be kind of creepy if he fell for someone solely (at first) because she looks like the girl/cyborg he loved. It would be a bit like dating the twin of your dead girlfriend. Plus: I sensed some Allison/Kyle. Is it wrong that I'm holding out hope that John can find a Cameron, get the chip back, and stick it in the new body? Of course, that would mean Allison would have to die/be copied. I suppose this is what Summer meant when she was happy but sad about Cam's place after the finale.
I suppose the time line changed again when John went back. Now, he's never been born. But, he can now send Kyle back. I guess Sarah and Ellison still couldn't stop J-Day. Now, I'm wondering what would/will come next. Is John stuck in the future? Where did John Henry go and why did he take Cameron's chip? Why was Cameron was intent on not letting John know she knew what Ellison meant? Will Cameron ever be back or if there is a season three, will Summer be Allison full time? 'Cause I kind of want Cameron. So many questions!
About John and Allison Possibly Hooking Up in a Possible S3:
The time line has changed (again!) as far as I can tell. So, this time around John is a teenager who loved Cameron first, not Allison. We still don't know if John even loved Allison or if he didn't fall for her but for the machine that looked like her. And if he fell for a machine that looked like his much (by 24 years) younger dead girlfriend/lover - that's even creeper. I always assumed that Allison had the hero worship and John changed time by reprogramming Cameron.
I do think the season/series(?) finale proved that Cameron came feel, to some extent. She was clearly nervous when Ellison mentioned "Will you join us?" and her voice cracked slightly when she reminded John that she's "just a machine". There also have been several hints throughout this season that both Cameron and John Henry (through his interactions with Savannah and Ellison) are not 'normal' machines and they are capable of some kind of emotions, or at least things very similar to emotions.

Four things make me want to cry:
1. Sarah and John are separated, maybe forever.
2. Cameron pretty much killed herself for John.
3. John went into the future for Cameron, to save her and get her chip back. But, her body didn't go with him and goodness knows where John Henry went.
4. The looks John gives Derek, Kyle, and Allison. That look of happiness when he sees Derek. That look of awe and joy when he sees Kyle. Then, that look of pure happiness when he sees "Cameron" that slowly turns to sadness and regret when he realizes that she's not Cameron. Breaks me heart. Because, it's in that small about of time (no more that two minutes) that John realizes that his uncle and father don't know him and that "Cameron" is really still "dead"

Date: 2009-04-11 02:18 pm (UTC)I don't think Sarah and John are separated forever, though. In the last seconds of the episode, there was another time warp-y thing with lightning and Sarah's voice saying "I love you too". Did she come after him? Was it to emphasize the new timeline? Will we ever know?
And how awesome was Katharine's twist. "Your son may save the world but he can't do it without mine."

Katherine is an awesome and complex character. Period. There is certainly a lot more going on with John Henry, Katherine, and Cameron giving them the chip than meets the eye.
