Shepard Book is nearly killed by the Alliance on Haven.

Hoban ‘Wash’ Washburne loses his arm while piloting Serenity through a Reaver and Alliance fight.

Simon Tam reattaches Hoban ‘Wash’ Washburne’s arm.

Kaylee Frye and Simon Tam begin a sexual relationship.

August 15:

Zoe and Wash Washburne find out they are going to have a baby.

September 16:

A second civil war begins; it is again between the Alliance and the Independents.

September 29:

The Alliance declares that all Reavers have been killed

Inara Serra stops taking clients that require sexual healing; she and Mal Reynolds begin a relationship.

March 8th:

Hoban Malcolm ‘Rex’ Washburne is born; he will have no name for two months.

May 4:

Rex Washburne is named.

River Tam begins humming the wedding march around Jayne Cobb.

June 7:

Simon Tam asks River Tam and Mal Reynolds if he can marry Kaylee Frye.

August 3:

Simon Tam asks Kaylee Frye to marry him; she agrees.

Jayne Cobb develops feelings for River Tam.

August 22:

Kaylee Frye and Simon Tam are married by Shepard Book on Kaylee’s homeworld, Ita.

October 15:

Kaylee Frye-Tam discovers she is pregnant.

October 22:

Jayne Cobb turns 41; River Tam kisses him on the cheek.

June 2:

Kaylee Frye-Tam gives birth to Simone Lee Tam.

River Tam tells Jayne Cobb that she will be pregnant with his child in six months. She also tells him that Inara Serra will be pregnant in eight months.

June 18:

Simone Lee Tam is baptized on Haven by Shepard Book

June 20:

River Tam turns nineteen years old; she has her party on Haven.

Jayne Cobb asks Simon Tam and Mal Reynolds if he may court River Tam; they agree.

August 22:

Jayne asks River to marry him; she agrees.

September 3:

Shepard Book rejoins the crew on ‘Serenity’.

October 18:

The crew lands on Jayne Cobb’s homeworld-Muir.

October 31:

A Reaver ship is said to land on Beylix; the town they land in had a population of 1047.

November 17:

The law arrives in a town on Beylix to find 5 people, who claim that Reavers attacked.

November 23:

Jayne Cobb and River Tam are wed on Muir by Shepard Book.

 

December 23:

Mal Reynolds and Inara Serra are secretly wed via WAVE by Shepard Book.

January 20:

River Cobb tells Jayne Cobb that they are going to have a baby.

April 4:

Inara Reynolds leaves the Companion Guild, she is roughly two months pregnant with Mal Reynolds’ child.

 

Early May-Mid June:

The crew of Serenity pull off a number of jobs on Core planets and end up making more then they ever have. (Simon Tam and Inara Reynolds thought of the jobs)

June 20:

River Cobb turns 20; her husband builds her a crib for their unborn son.

September 9:

Jayne Chester Cobb Junior is born. The labor is hard and River Cobb nearly dies.

September 19:

Jayne Chester Cobb Junior is baptized by Shepard Book.

October 15:

Mrs. Reynolds Sr. dies on Shadow. She leaves her ranch to her only child, Mal.

 

November 20:

Serra Kaylee Reynolds is born; she is given her mother’s maiden name and her middle name is taken from Inara’s best friend and Serra’s favorite aunt, Kaylee Tam.

June 8:

The Second Civil War ends, with the Alliance as the winner.

July 17:

While on Santo, Jayne Cobb is shot in the gut. To make him live, River Cobb tells him she is pregnant again.

August 28:

Jay Cobb asks his mother not to leave the ship, as he believes ‘bad things’ could happen.

On Greenleaf, Simon Tam and River Cobb are bound by law, after someone sees a fresh wanted posters on the Cortex.

August 29:

Before the crew of Serenity can get to them, Simon Tam and River Cobb are put on a transport for Sihnon.

September 3:

Simon Tam and River Cobb arrive on Sihnon.

The crew of Serenity arrive on Sihnon and plan a break out before ‘Blue Sun’ can get to Simon and River.

September 3-4:

Mal Reynolds, Zoe Washburne, and Jayne Cobb enter the station where Simon Tam and River Cobb are being kept. Hoban ‘Wash’ Washburne flies Serenity above the building, as their getaway.

September 4:

Everyone returns to Serenity and Mal Reynolds orders that they fly straight for Shadow.

September 14-October 25:

The crew of Serenity hide out on the Reynolds’ family ranch.

October 27:

The crew of Serenity take a job smuggling 50 cows from Persephone to Deadwood.

Nov 2:

The crew delivers the cattle to Deadwood; their pay is larger then normal, so Mal Reynolds treats the crew to a fancy dinner on Persephone.

Nov 9:

The crew of Serenity have a fancy dinner in one of the best restaurants on Persephone.

Jayne Cobb and Mal Reynolds are kicked out of the restaurant for fighting.

Inara Reynolds uses her Companion Guild connections to get Jayne Cobb and Mal Reynolds out of lockup.

April 2:

Matthew Simon Cobb is born a week late on Haven; River Cobb nearly dies in labor, again. Matthew Simon is named after his two uncles; Mattie Cobb and Simon Tam. (note: Matt and Jay seem to have a connection, as Jay will tell his parents whenever Matt wants or needs something.)

April 4:

Shepard Book baptizes Matthew Cobb.

April 5:

Inara Reynolds learns she is pregnant for the second time.

December 24:

Derri Faith Reynolds is born; she is delivered by Shepard Book, in a shuttle, after it breaks down twenty-three miles from Serenity.

December 26:

Derri Faith Reynolds is baptized by Shepard Book, as is Serra Kaylee Reynolds.

2529-

February 13:

Inara Reynolds turns thirty-four and learns (from River) that she is pregnant, again.

October 18:

While on Shadow, Inara Reynolds gives birth to a baby boy, whom she names Shadow Alexander Reynolds.

October 21:

On Haven, Shadow Alexander Reynolds is baptized.

November 20:

Serra Reynolds turns eight, she tells her parents she wants to be a Companion; Mal Reynolds does not take it well.

2530-

December 1:

Shepard Book learns that he is dying. It is known that he has no more then five years to live; he asks that the crew come and get him in Haven.

2531-

March 8:

Rex Washburne turns twelve and asks that he be allowed to enter flight school when he is of age.

September 1:

Eleven year old Lee Tam discovers she has a ‘way with machines’ after she helps Kaylee Tam fix a mule.

 

2533-

June 3:

One day after Lee Tam turns thirteen, Rex Washburne asks Simon and Kaylee Tam if he may court their only child; they agree.

September 3:

River Cobb tells Jayne Cobb that they have just ‘made a little mix of us’ after a night of passion.

November 30:

Ten days after turning twelve, Serra Reynolds is brought to Sihnon; Mal Reynolds is still unhappy with the choice.

 

2534:

February 30:

Derri Reynolds asks Shepard Book to get her a bible; she tells him that she wishes to be like him.

May 11:

Shepard Book is rushed to the infirmary after he falls in the cargo bay; he is dying.

Serenity lands on Salisbury and River Cobb goes into labor.

Jay Cobb leaves Serenity and goes to nearest town.

May 12:

Jay Cobb trades his favorite pocket knife for a blanket.

Shepard Book dies; Rayne Tam Cobb is born mere moments after.

Rayne Tam Cobb sees Shepard Book, she will go on seeing and hearing him.

 

December 28:

The crew of Serenity land on Shadow and set up house on the Reynolds’ ranch.

 

2535-

January 7-January 13:

The crew of Serenity buys a herd of cattle, some horses, sheep, chickens, and pigs. They even set up a couple of gardens and start their new live.

Mal Reynolds, Zoe Washburne, and Jayne Cobb go into the nearest town to get clients for their cattle and the like.

February 14:

Fifteen year old Rex Washburne and fourteen year old Lee Tam have sex for the first time; they sleep together in the pilot’s chair of Serenity.

 

March 3:

Rayne Cobb begins speaking in full sentences; she tells her parents that she and Shepard Book are friends.

March 8:

Rex Washburne turns sixteen and applies for flight school on Bernadette.

October 4:

Mal Reynolds sells cattle and makes “more credits then we’ve made it years!”

 

2536-

March 18:

Rex Washburne leaves Shadow for Bernadette; he will be in school for two years.

April 2:

Matt Cobb turns thirteen and decides that he wants to be a doctor; he asks Simon Tam for lessons.

 

April 26:

Jay Cobb gets into a fight with boys in town, after the boys all River a ‘crazy freak’

May 6:

Rayne Cobb begins correcting people’s spelling.

May 12:

Rayne Cobb turns two; according to Simon Tam she is: “She‘s like River was at that age, maybe she’s even smarter.”

It becomes apparent that the Cobb siblings have a strong connection; as Matt and Jay finish one another‘s sentences and all three know where the other two are and if they are alright.

July 7-28:

Reavers land on the other side of Shadow; River feels them and spends the next two weeks having ‘episodes’ ; for everyone’s protection she is locked in a room.

 

August 14:

At eight, Derri Reynolds tells her parents that she wishes to leave to study at an Abbey. Inara and Mal Reynolds explain that Derri can not be a Preacher, as she is a girl.

September 5:

The Serenity Ranch makes the best sale yet and ends up buying a sky-mule.

September 7:

Hoban ‘Wash’ Washburne, Kaylee Tam, and Lee Tam turn a corner of one of the barns into a workshop; they end up rebuilding and even building mules, shuttles, and even small ships for the locals.

2537-

January 26:

Lee Tam leaves Shadow for a six month stay on Bernadette with Rex Washburne.

Rayne Cobb begins standing outside the ship, Serenity, and talking nonsense to herself.

June 30:

Lee Tam and Rex Washburne return to Shadow; Rex on a month visit.

July 30:

The crew celebrates the nineteenth anniversary of the day they set ‘The Signal’ out.

Rex Washburne returns to Bernadette.

August 23:

Zoe and Hoban ‘Wash’ Washburne celebrate twenty-two years of marriage.

August 28:

Zoe Washburne turns fifty-three year old, her husband gets Mal Reynolds to let them borrow a shuttle for they can visit Bernadette and their son.

Sept 9:

Jay Cobb turns sixteen and is taken (by Jayne Cobb) to a ‘cathouse’ for a whore.

Sept 21:

One day after Wash’s fifty-first birthday, he and Zoe return home to Shadow.

 

2538-

October 22:

Jayne Cobb turns fifty-nine years old, River surprises him by reenacting their first night together.

March 20:

Rex Washburne returns home to Shadow. He is now nineteen and a licensed pilot. Rex is offered many jobs, but declines them all.

April 2:

Matt Cobb turns fifteen. Simon Tam brings Matt into town and Matt is tested.

April 4:

It is announced that Matt Cobb is at genius levels and the boy is offered a position in a pre-medical program on Osirus.

June 2:

Lee Tam turns eighteen, Rex Washburne asks her to marry him.

Lee and Rex seek permission form all four parents to wed; it’s agreed.

July 2:

Lee Tam and Rex Washburne marry on the ranch. They leave for a honeymoon on Hera.

 

July 17:

Mal Reynolds turns fifty-two; he puts Serenity in nine year old Shadow Reynolds’ name. Mal tells his only son: “One day, you’re gonna wantta find some sky. Serenity brought me a purpose, a family, an’ peace. Maybe she’ll give you what you’ll need.”

July 23:

Matt Cobb leaves for a pre-medical program on Osirus. (note: Rayne Cobb will have ‘episodes’ for a week afterward, where all she will do is talk to herself and ‘Shepard Book’)

October 22:

Simon and Kaylee Tam celebrate nineteen years of marriage; Simon and Kaylee head to Ariel for shopping at the tri-plex and other things.

 

November 23:

Simon and Kaylee Tam and Lee and Rex Washburne return on Jayne and River Cobb’s eighteenth wedding anniversary.

December 1:

Derri Reynolds becomes ill with an unknown disease; Inara Reynolds seems to be the only one who knows how to help her daughter.

December 23:

Inara and Mal Reynolds celebrate eighteen years of marriage; Derri Reynolds is still ill.

December 24:

Derri Reynolds turns ten; she is still sick, though her sister, Serra, sends her something from Sihnon.

 

2539-

January 1-4:

Derri Reynolds recovers; she and Inara Reynolds receive packages from both Serra Reynolds and Matt Cobb once a month after that.

February 13:

Inara Reynolds turns forty-three and gets a special gift, seventeen year old Serra Reynolds takes a break from her training to visit home.

Jay Cobb takes a new fancy to Serra Reynolds, though the girl doesn’t seem to return the favors.

February 18:

Serra Reynolds returns to Sihnon.

March 8:

Rex Washburne turns twenty; Lee Washburne announces that she is pregnant.

April 1-2:

Matt Cobb returns home for a visit.

Jayne Cobb brings a now sixteen year old Matt to a ‘cathouse’

April 11:

Kaylee Tam turns forty.

Lee Washburne is three months pregnant and feels the baby kick.

April 12:

Matt Cobb returns to Osirus.

May 12:

Rayne Cobb turns five, she seems to delight in ‘reading’ the thoughts of her family in order to figure out what they’ve gotten her.

 

June 20:

River Cobb turns thirty-eight

July 7:

Lee Washburne awakes in the middle of the night. She goes into labor at just six months.

July 8:

Lee Washburne has a baby girl. The baby girl is named Grace Marie Washburne.

July 10:

Grace Marie Washburne dies, she is two days old and is placed in the Reynolds’ family cemetery.

Rayne Cobb tells Rex Washburne that Grace is with Shepard Book and that: ‘he’ll watch her for you.’ ; Rex does not talk or look at Rayne for a week after that.

Nov. 29:

Simon Tam turns forty-three.

2540-

April 2:

On Osirus, Matt Cobb turns seventeen and is the youngest pre-med student.

September 9:

Jay Cobb turns nineteen; Jayne Cobb gives his oldest son fifty, to put toward: “you know what”

Nov. 20:

On Sihnon, Serra Reynolds turns nineteen and is given her license to Companion.

Nov. 30:

Serra Reynolds ‘entertains’ her first client, a thirty-nine year old business man named Altern Higgins.

 

2541-

July 20:

Matt Cobb returns home for a visit.

July 30:

‘Signal Day’ is celebrated.

Rayne Cobb goes missing and is found by Jayne Cobb in Shepard Book’s old room on Serenity. The seven year girl had slashed her arm and claimed that Shepard Book had showed her how.

Simon Tam treats his niece’s arm; it leaves a nasty looking scar.

August 1:

River Cobb tells Jayne Cobb that their daughter will: “end up just like me. She’s trapped between the dead and the living, lost in in reality that isn’t even her making.”

August 3:

Matt Cobb returns to Osirus.

October 14:

On Osirus, Matt Cobb has a run-in with Gabriel Tam, his seventy-five year old grandfather. Neither man knows who the other is, though they sense something. Matt senses that Gabriel Tam is not to be trusted.

 

2542-

January 28:

Rex and Lee Washburne decide to try and have another baby.

February 26:

Simon Tam tells Lee and Rex Washburne that Lee would have trouble carrying a child to term and that they should not try again for at least another five years.

March 15-19:

Rex Washburne is offered a job piloting a ship from Shadow to Kerry; he takes the job and he and Lee leave.

May 12:

Rayne Cobb turns eight and begins doing schoolwork normally used for children of a higher age (age eleven to be correct)

December 2:

On Osirus, nineteen year old Matt Cobb graduates early; he enrolls in the Grad program.

Lee and Rex Washburne return to Shadow.

2543-

January 2:

As they play together, Rayne Cobb tells Lee and Rex Washburne: “Please be careful, I exist in someone else’s mind, today.”

March 30:

The Serenity Ranch now makes more mere week then Serenity smuggling made in three months; it is a success.

April 29:

On Sihnon, Serra Reynolds is beaten by a client; she leaves the room bloody and limping- the client does not leave the room.

December 2:

On Osirus, twenty year old Matt Cobb is told he can graduate from the Grad program in one year; he will be twenty-one and will enter his internship a whole year earlier then his uncle, Simon Tam.

December 24:

Derri Reynolds turns fifteen and becomes so ill that she must be transported to another planet, Hera.

2544-

May 1-8:

Derri Reynolds returns to Shadow.

Inara Reynolds and Mal Reynolds get into many fights about Derri Reynolds.

2545-

November 17:

Jay Cobb gets into a fight in town. He fights Tommy Logan, after the younger man insults his parents and Rayne Cobb.

December 2:

On Osirus, Matt Cobb graduates from the normally four year Grad program.

2546-

January 11:

On Osirus, Matt Cobb begins his internship; it is supposed to last two years. Matt Cobb is just twenty-two.

April 8:

At just twenty-three, Matt Cobb finishes his internship; he finishes in less then four months. Matt is offered a job in Capital City.

May 12:

Rayne Cobb turns twelve years old; she begins predicting events that will happen in the near future.

July 30:

Lee Washburne and Rex Washburne decide to take a job aboard a cruise ship; he will pilot and she’ll be a member of the maintence crew.

August 16:

Lee and Rex Washburne leave Shadow; they will be gone for one year.

October 22:

Jayne Cobb turns sixty-seven, he is surprised by Matt Cobb’s homecoming.

August 16:

Lee and Rex Washburne return to Shadow.

2548-

January 3:

Jayne and River Cobb travel to Muir to attend the funeral of Jayne’s mother.

April 2:

Matt Cobb turns twenty-five.

April 27:

Zoe and Hoban ‘Wash’ Washburne head off on a ‘special four month date’ on Bernadette.

April 6:

In town, Rayne Cobb kisses a seventeen year old boy named Henry, just to get it over with.

April 30:

Eighteen year old Shadow Reynolds realizes he has a crush on Rayne Cobb.

May 12:

Rayne Cobb turns fourteen; she is still seeing and hearing Shepard Book and even Grace Washburne.

June 8:

Twenty-nine year old Rex Washburne and fourteen year old Rayne Cobb play in the front yard and Jayne Cobb watches them.

Jayne and River Cobb give their children ‘the talk’; Jay is twenty-seven, Matt is twenty-five, and Rayne is fourteen.

August 21:

Kaylee Tam, Inara Reynolds, and Rayne Cobb work in a garden; Rayne asks to go get supplies and disappears.

August 21-September 14:

Everyone looks for Rayne Cobb; River Cobb and the Cobb brothers can no longer sense Rayne Cobb.

September 15:

Zoe and Hoban ‘Wash’ Washburne return to Shadow, to help look for Rayne.

January 2:

Rex Washburne, Lee Washburne, Derri Reynolds, Jay Cobb, Matt Cobb, Shadow Reynolds, Mal Reynolds, Jayne Cobb, River Cobb, Zoe Washburne, Hoban ‘Wash’ Washburne, Inara Reynolds, Simon Tam, Kaylee Tam get into Serenity and start looking planet by planet for Rayne Tam.

On a planet called Angel, Rayne Tam begins her ‘schooling’ by ‘Blue Sun’-she screams.

March 16:

Serenity returns to Serenity Ranch-Rayne Tam is not onboard.

Rayne Tam has her seventy-seventh session, she says: “I need to go home now. Pretty girl makes all the boys sing. My brother is a doctor. My brother is a warrior. My brothers play in the yard with me. I need to go home now, please.”

April 22:

Matt Cobb heads to Haven to be a doctor for one of the smaller miner towns there.

Rayne Tam has a session, she is not progressing, at least according to her.

May 1:

On Shadow, Lee and Rex Washburne fix up Serenity for Shadow Reynolds.

Derri Reynolds begins preaching in town.

On Angel, Rayne Cobb has brain surgery and ends up having certain things taken out or ‘fixed’.

May 12:

Rayne Cobb turns fifteen; she celebrates by slashing her stomach with a knife.

June 27:

Lee and Rex Washburne finish fixing up Serenity for Shadow Reynolds.

Shadow Reynolds is ready to leave, but Derri Reynolds suddenly becomes ill.

June 29:

Twenty-six year old Matt Cobb returns home to help Simon Tam and Inara Reynolds care for twenty year old Derri Reynolds.

August 15:

Derri Reynolds becomes well again.

Shadow Reynolds decides to hold off on finding himself some sky.

Matt Cobb decides to stay on Shadow.

September 9:

Jay Cobb turns twenty-eight and gets a special WAVE from Serra Reynolds, she wishes him the best in life.

January 30:

On Angel, Rayne Cobb has a session; she asks for a mission. She needs a purpose, she is reasonable…she has reason.

 

March 8:

Rex Washburne turns thirty-one years old; he does not celebrate, as he misses his ‘little peanut‘, Rayne.

April 2:

Matt Cobb turns twenty-seven.

May 12:

Rayne Cobb turns sweet sixteen; she has needles shoved into her eyes. At night she takes solace in ‘dancing’ with ‘Shepard Book’.

July 2:

Rex and Lee Washburne celebrate thirteen years of marriage.

October 22:

Jayne Cobb turns seventy-one; he has now lived much longer then he thought possible.

 

November 20:

Jayne and River Cobb celebrate thirty years of marriage. River has a nightmare and wakes up saying: “Two by two, they couldn’t have one, so they chose the other.”

 

2551-

January 7-February 9:

Rayne Cobb is moved to Sihnon, she has nightmares for weeks after about everyone being dead.

 

River Cobb, Jay Cobb, and Matt Cobb begin having nightmares about Rayne Cobb.

Derri Reynolds prays for Rayne Cobb’s return; much to the annoyance of both Mal and Shadow Reynolds.

 

On Sihnon, Rayne Cobb is visited by members of Parliament; she does not like what she sees in them.

February 11:

On Sihnon, Serra Reynolds begins using her connects to look for Rayne Cobb; Serra has heard rumors of Rayne Cobb being on Sihnon.

February 13:

On Shadow, Matt and Jay Cobb being sensing something; their sister is different and they feel it.

March 26:

Men break Rayne Cobb out. She is given a shot to sleep for a month and they place her in a cryo-coffin.

April 15:

Zoe Washburne receives a cryo-coffin in the post.

Jayne Cobb and Mal Reynolds open the cryo-coffin to find Rayne Cobb peacefully sleeping inside-she looks dead to the untrained eye.

Just as everyone is shocked and crying, Rayne Cobb follows in her mother’s footsteps (yet again) and pops up-screaming.

Rayne Cobb looks around, wide-eyed and feral. She begins urgently speaking nonsense: “Home. Dwelling. Place of residence. Daddy? Mo-mommy? Mommy, they…they gave me reasons an...and missions. I’m….they….they took it all out and they put it in and…they want me to…”

April 15-20:

Rayne Cobb is put in a room and is visited by her uncle, mother, father, and brothers. It is determined that she was awoken eleven days early and that she is no longer mentally well. River Cobb tells them: “They made her into me. Made her hear them and suffer.”

Mal Reynolds tells Shadow Reynolds that ‘they’ will come looking for Rayne Cobb. He asks his son to take Serenity and ‘find that sky’

April 22:

Serenity sets sail, again. This time the crew is Shadow Reynolds, Jay Cobb, Matt Cobb, Derri Reynolds, Lee and Rex Washburne, and Rayne Cobb.

April 25:

Serenity sets down on Whitefall and makes a connect, they get their first job-smuggling supplies to Deadwood.

April 27:

Rayne Cobb has a ‘good day’ and plays with Rex Washburne; she steals his toy dinos.

May 1:

The crew arrives on Deadwood and in grand tradition, nothing goes as planned.

May 4:

For unknown reasons, Serra Reynolds asks the crew to come and get her on Sihnon. She takes up residence in her mother’s old shuttle and agrees to pay her brother rent once every eight Sundays.

May 12:

Rayne Cobb turns seventeen.

May 15:

The crew of Serenity gets a second job; getting supplies off a dead ship and bringing them back to Persephone.
