Once Upon a Time Thoughts (1x21)

Well, this episode was certainly something, wasn't it? Lots going on and more things (finally!) explained. And then it ended. And that preview! Oh, why can't it be the 13th now? I'm so hoping the season finale gets leaked early.
- Was anyone else sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for Regina to offer Gold/Rumpelstiltskin Belle? I knew she wouldn't, but I still thought she might.
- Jefferson. Where has he been? You know, now that Henry is in a coma or whatever, I'm sure Regina wouldn't go along with the deal to give him and Grace new memories. And we know Belle will have a scene with a "fan favorite recurring" character. Anyone else think Jefferson will get Belle out of the basement in order to get back at Regina? If so, I'm hoping that is not the last we see of them this season.
- August is turning more and more wooden. At first I was iffy on him, but last week he really grew on me. I'm hoping he lives. He and Marco need to have that father/son bond. I don't want him to completely be wood before Marco remembers.
- Love Henry in this episode. His love for Emma and his believing in her is just so wonderful. They are such a lovely mother/son combo. Could her kiss awaken him next week?
- Loved seeing Archie giving Emma some advance. He had a couple of nice points.
- MM is right - Emma is reverting to her old self. I'm so happy both MM and Henry called Emma out. She needs to rely on her family and friends, but she also needs to be strong.
- That dream Regina had? How corny/cheesy was that?! It was fun to see that she's scared and that she does maybe care for Henry, but. . .such cheese.
- The fairies sleep bombing the castle was priceless. Hell, the whole attack on the castle to save Charming was so brilliant. I had a smile on my face the whole time.
- Snow basically killing herself to end everything with Regina was great. Made me remember why I like her.
- But Regina. . .oh, Regina. I know the writers want us to feel sorry for who Regina became after Daniel, but. . .I just can't. She really brought a lot of her unhappiness on herself. Snow was a little girl, and she and Daniel should have run that night. Hanging on to that anger for at least 38 years, if not more. . .just shows us how damaged she is as a person. I think Regina is mentally ill. However, I think her reasons are just such a let down for her villainy.
- This episode completely cemented my love for Red, Grumpy, Granny, and the rest of the War Council.
- I love that Snow was the one leading a small army and saving her prince. Yes.
- This episode really made me think about what Gold's plan is now. What is he planning. So mysterious. I hope we see some insight into his whole deal with the Curse next week.
Preview Thoughts:
- OMG! Don't tell me they start remembering. Did David say "Magic is coming"? Or is it just clear editing? And Rumpelstiltskin and Charming sword fighting? Yes! It just looks so damn good. I want it now. I cannot wait. You know, I'm not going to do a damn thing this week. . .I'll just be looking for spoilers.
