I agree, people have so many channels to chose from - they should just change the channel on what they dislike. That said - I would think parents - no matter what their political positions and leanings are - would want their children to learn tolerance from an early age. And, while it is up to the parents, if the idea is reenforced by a red puppet and some celeb, I don't see a problem with that. But, this man seems to think Sesame Street is no good for children. So, have them watch something else, I guess.
