I don't find Taecyon (sp??) a very compelling actor
Neither do I. Weirdly, I liked his better in Cinderella's Unni, despite the fact that he had very little to work with there. He is stated to be the Second-Lead behind Kim Soo Hyun, so I think they are relying on KSH for the acting talent.
The actual plot isn't all that new. It's pretty much every high school drama ever - with the losers trying to become the winners, in their own ways. (At least its the plot of every Japanese high school drama). What I do like is that HM started out on stop and is now at the bottom, you don't see that often. It is a bit shallow in the conflicts, but it is high school. Everything just seem a more important because its a performing arts high school - those kids love their drama and are always trying to out do one another. I'm watching for the characters, not so much the actual plot.
