2010 Top Five Couples (Western) - Finale

I've decided that 2010 was a great year for couples, OTPs, ships, whatever you wish to call them. I've made two different lists: one for Western Television and one for Asian Dramas. In order to make the list couples had to have certain things:
01. I had to have watched the series in 2010/it had to have aired in 2010.
02. They had to have been a couple or have had UST/potential couple-dom in the future.
03. I had to have loved them and wanted them to be together. (I had to want them to be together; not just liked them because they were the show's couple)
04. They had to have been together as a couple/potential couple for at least three episodes.
For the next one day, I'll bring you the Western couples. Today, I give you Number One -
From LOST - Claire/Charlie.
Why Them: I was shipping before the show even started. They released a summary that listed a 'Junkie' and a 'Pregnant Girl' - so, I shipped. Charlie felt this pull to take care of Claire, and in a way she saved him from himself. They were the favorite 'ship of the actors that played them and many of the writers. They were a little family on the island. They were adorable and normal. When you watched them, you couldn't help but smile. He loved her despite everything; she loved him despite his past. Their reunion in the series finale was something I had waited for for three years. It was so beautiful. It was a pure, normal, kind love.

Charlie: [smiles] Birthing emergency averted. I told you I'd take care of you.
Claire: Thanks Charlie.
Charlie: You're quite welcome. You think you can make it back to the caves? I won't let anything happen to you.
Claire: What's gotten into you Charlie? You've been so depressed all week and now it's breakfast in bed and picnics.
Charlie: Well, I woke up this morning and thought it's time to stop feeling sorry for yourself and seize the day. And I can't think of anyone else I'd rather do some day seizing with than you. So what do you say? Let's drop the little cherub off with Auntie Sun and Uncle Jin, and you and I will go for a little stroll.
Claire: I'd love to.
Best Moments: Who could forget when he brought her "peanut butter" in season one? Or their first kiss after the hatch exploded? Or when he brought her Aaron back after he was kidnapped? Or the flashback to the first meeting in "Greatest Hits"? Or their three kisses (yes, they only had three on-screen kisses!) Or the time when she got sick and he slept between her and Aaron all night? Or when she found out he had died to save them all? Or when he saw her in the side ways/afterlife at the concert? Or when they remembered each other? So many brilliant and beautiful moments. This is why they are my favorites.

Angst Factor: She gets kidnapped, he's nearly killed. She comes back, but doesn't remember him. He has PTSD. He gets too busy and they "break up". He kidnaps Aaron to Baptize him. They get back together, after he nearly dies. He dies. She goes crazy. Yeah, they have some angst.
Happiness Factor: Season One and Three are pure happiness. That last scene where they met again after she (again) gives birth to Aaron is so beautiful and lovely and perfect. They want to spend the rest of time together - it doesn't get more happy than that.
