Mary and Giant Thoughts

Giant ended today and I'd like to briefly mention the Miju/MW stuff. These two suffered a lot of angst in recent episodes, but in the end, Miju and MW get their happy ending. I don't want to say too much, as I'm sure many of you haven't watched it. But, basically: MW nearly kills himself, but Miju stops him. He goes to jail for two years due to his shady dealings. When he gets out, he has a letter from Miju telling him to meet her and their son in England. I was disappointed that they didn't show MW finally reunite with his son and the woman he loves, but I kind of understand it. They would have to hire a 12/13 year old actor, and the actress that plays Miju looks to young to have a son that old. Plus there were too many storylines to wrap up.
Overall, I think the show had a lot of issues toward the end of its run. But, overall it wasn't a terrible show. The writer spent too much time on political and business matters and stretched too many storylines to the point of frustration, but it wasn't a bad show. I give it a 7.5/10.
As for Mary Stayed Out All Night - episode nine really was brilliant. Their little window convo and their trip were adorkable. And, we have an OTP interloper. I have to say this - I knew that Seo Jun was spoiled and I never liked her outbursts of unjustified anger toward MG, MR, and the MG/MR relationship - she has no connection to them anymore. She and MG have been apart of a year and only dated for four weeks. But, she is still pissed that he's moved on? She thinks she knows him so much more than anyone? Please! And now, she spent most of episode 9 throwing herself a pity party, then went to MG to return the pick he gave her. Okay. I understand that might be her way of helping herself move on. But, then she kissed him! Dude! Poor MG was standing there all stiff, eyes opened, looking uncomfortable. And MR saw! :(
Back to studying for finals.
