walkwithheroes: [The Princess Bride] ([Being Human] Don't Forget Me)

As Giant enters its final stretch - there are nine episodes left, it enters that bit of episodes where things are wrapped up, characters are put in their places, and romances are made or broken. Things are being put into place for the Lee siblings in terms of their romances, and all I can say is: 'WTF Giant writer and producer? WTF.'

A pretty and young recruit has entered Lee Sung Mo's workplace. I smell OTP! I'm happy that Sung Mo's getting a romance; I was starting to wonder if he was asexual or if he'd be single forever. I'm glad they are answering that question.

Lee Kang Mo went on a date/business dinner with a beautiful woman, and Hwang Jung Yeon saw them together. Looks like after all these years, she's still getting jealous. It's 1988/89, and they haven't been an item for at least 6 years. I'm a bit sad that she hasn't moved on.

Jo Min Woo spent the whole episode bounding with his son, simply because he thinks that its his child. And, that cutie is, but. . .next week. . .Satan tampers with the test. . .why, drama, why?! It looks like Min-woo is slowly moving to the dark side! And, why won't Miju say something?! The man has a right to know he's a father. She grew up an orphan, you think she'd be all for a kid getting to have a father. I know she's upset over MW's father killing hers, but MW is (not yet) his father. Come on, Miju! Don't make me start disliking/hating you.

I've never seen the writers other dramas - he's only written three others (and one was historical) according to dramawiki. But, someone please tell me he writes happy endings. If MW/Miju aren't happy at the end; if Min-woo turns completely into Satan Jr. . .I may have to cut a b*tch. I just. . . I need a candy.

Aww Sung Mo! That would be great, I so wanted a love interest for him.

Ugh, I don't get why Miju won't say anything either. She of all people should know how painful it would be for her son. I swear if the writers screw up my OTP there will be hell to pay. What do you say? Go to Korea and kick ass?

It's weird, but I'm happy SM might end up getting some. (I'm slightly perverted).

I know! Say something Miju! Speak, girl, speak!

If these two don't end up getting their shit together, I'm there. They had 15 episodes of cuteness and happy; and we are now on 16 episodes of pure angst - I can't take much more of this.

lol Not at all, I adore how cute he is with his nephew and I can't wait to see him with *gasp* a real girl!

Oh, god I know. The thing is I"m starting to believe theres no hope for them. I mean how are they gonna get past all of this? They're hands down my favorite OTP this year and I know if anything bad happens to them I'll be in mourning and so bitter about it all. And that would be a real shame because I adore their cuteness so much!

Word.

With nine episodes left - and I'm fairly certain tomorrow will be all angst - I'm not sure how the writer is going to fix this. They just have so much shit to work through. I want it fixed, but I don't want it done too quickly; that would feel like a cop-out. They are so in my Top Five Favorite Asian Drama Couples of the Year, so I want them (and their son) to have a happy ending. I'm just dreading that it won't happen. With four weeks left. . .I just don't know.

Everything you said is spot on. I want a reunion but I want something worthy of them. I want epicness.

I think the thing stopping Giant from being exceptional is that not all of the story is interesting and engaging like MJ/MW. The other OTP isn't even interesting at all. Too much time is spent on the boring business machinations. The writers dropped the ball on that, but they did such a good job with our OTP. I mean, they are the whole reason I started watching the show. I saw this great mv of the two and I just had to watch the show. So for me they are my whole reason for watching this.

Anyway, so awesome to have another obsessed Giant lover here! I'll endure this to the end but this show could break me.

The thing is, everything the writers are doing with MW/Miju is up my alley/could result in awesome payback etc except they only have 9 episodes left. Now, I know 9 eps is 2/3 of a normal kdrama running time, but this isn't the case here - they have a billion storylines and since it's a long drama, the pace is slower. So = me very very worried. (I keep conjuring MW believing Seung Mo is the father because their dna would match for obvious reasons and don't something unforgivable). Ugh. I wish they'd skip some of the more boring business stuff and concentrate on the shippy. I mean, is anyone really enthralled by the "OMG construction co x acquired extra shares" stuff?

Yep, yep, totally. I first started watching because of them, too. I'm sticking around, but I really don't want to be disappointed in the end; especially as it ends the week of my finals.

Yes. That is how I'm feeling. They have so many storylines: the business, the revenge plot, etc. . .how will they finish the plot of what is basically the secondary OTP?

Min-woo knows GM and Miju are siblings, and that there is a connection with SM. I doubt (hope) he'll come to the right conclusion on his own. If they did a DNA test, wouldn't it show that SM and Miju have nearly the same DNA? I have no idea what a DNA test was like in 1988/89 in Korea.

Word. Every darn week one of those damn companies is about to crumble unless they get the next big account. I'm starting to think known of these characters can run a business.

I have long come to the conclusion that none of them, except Daddy Satan and occasionally Min Woo can run a business - if all that stands between you and ruin, on a regular basis, is a next contract, you are not a big company, you are an outfit that shouldn't be operating.

Too true. Daddy Satan may be evil and in need of a straight-jacket, but at least he can run a business.
