All I can say is - whoever does this (HS, the mom, the dad, other) who does/did this to KH and EJ can GDIAF. Seriously, no matter how pissed you are at someone or what someone does to you - you shouldn't do this. I thought HS hiding the letter for eight years was a bitch-move, but





While he was in the army, KH apparently wrote EJ a letter everyday ala The Notebook - and someone hid them from her or threw them away.

I hope it's this - someone didn't tell EJ about the letters. Because, I would be so disappointed if EJ got the letters and just never responded. I could see EJ getting the letters and never opening. I can even see her throwing the first few in anger. And, I can see EJ crying over the letters, but never letting on that she got them.


But, it would be so much more angsty if someone hid the letters from her - especially if it was HS, who I honestly think KH could marry, if only to do his takeover plan.

I'm addicted to this show and am really looking forward to what's next.

Seeing this spoiler, I'm thinking she never got them. In episode 5, she was quite eager to see him after mistakenly thinking HS was on the phone with him.

I agree, but you never know. All I know is - if it's HS who hid/threw the letters - she's really off my list for good. If it's the Mom, well, i can't see why she'd do it. The only person I can see hiding/throwing the letters is HS, truthfully.

Well, he's been gone for 8 years and I'm guessing three-four were spent in school. Then, two in the army. That's at least six-seven years and then one year in the company. Even if he only wrote for two years and then only once a month - that's twenty-four letters. I don't think all twenty-four letters would be lost in the mail. I honestly think someone stole/hid them. And the only people who would are the uncle or HS, HS out of jealously and the uncle for some yet unknown reason - maybe anger.

I honestly just hope that EJ never got them. I'd be so disappointed if she did and just ignored them.

No, of course not. but you know, like in "Kim Sam Soon", where he wrote to the wrong address, and the guy at that address finally found her and brought her all the letters AT ONCE.

but judging by the family, I think someone hid them. There is no way EJ would have ignored them.

I hated KSS, so I forgot about that. But, I agree - it's much more likely that someone hit the letters or simply threw them away.Right now, my money is on HS - she knows too much about KH; even though they had a sibling relationship before, I doubt he told her about the painting and whatnot.

I can't imagine EJ throwing them out - I mean, if he did a letter every day, she would have gotten one let's say a week after he left - she totally would have read it. I think she is so pissed because she hasn't heard from him in 8 years! If she heard from him after a few days he left it would have been pretty different.

I wonder who hid the letters. Hmmm.

I think it is more likely that he only started writing when he went into the army - after studying. It would have been save to write and if he wrote once a month for two years, that's twenty-four letters. My honest guess is that he was not able to write for a year or three and then able to write the two years in the army. Even if EJ was pissed because she hadn't heard from him in a year or two or three, she would have at least read one. I think the letters were stolen by either uncle for reasons we don't know; the mother because she's got plans we don't know about; or HS out of pure jealously. If it was HS, it would explain a lot of things that she knows about KH - like the painting.

HOLY SHIT, WHAT?!?!

This is an amazing twist, and I have to agree that she never got them. Her anger and bitterness comes from the fact that she dared to trust him and she thinks he didn't trust her/love her enough to tell her he was leaving, I don't think she's the kind of person to ignore a letter a day for however many years.

Everything makes a lot more sense now - his repeated "do you have anything to say to me?"s and his genuine bewilderment that she doesn't seem to want anything to do with him.

I kind of hope it was HS, just to see what excuses for her behaviour start popping up.

I agree with you that KH could marry HS, but I doubt that he will - that will throw a spanner in the works that they just can't ignore. I forsee an engagement but eventual breaking off.

I agree. So far her excuses have been fairly weak, imho. I'd love to know why she hid 24 letters or more.

Well, the way HS wants to marry him - I can also see an engagement. She apparently thinks they are dating, or she's trying to date him, despite the fact that he clearly sees her as a kid.

I agree 100% I cannot see KH telling a 15/16 year old about that painting that reminds him of his mother - but I can see him writing it in a letter to EJ.

Yeah, I think about HS reading that letter and it makes me angry. Because she's reading thoughts that KH would never have chosen to share with her, and she has no right to look at them. Seriously, argh.
