Casting Your Story (Or Others' Stories)?

Two questions:

Does anyone else ever picture actors/actresses as characters in the stories they read at rainbowfic?

For example, when I read The Tenth Sage/Legend of the Iron Plum Blossom by [personal profile] isana, I picture Ariel Lin as Yan and Chiaki Kuriyama as Setsuko. Weirdly I picture the male characters as different actors, depending on what I'm watching.

Does anyone have actors/actresses that they've "casted" as the characters in their works?

Wonderlife has "casted" people as the characters. You can see that in the icons at the DW journal and in the trailers/promos. Addictions sort of has a cast, as does Surely Someday. I'm actually currently "casting" Surely Someday.

Main:

Richard Armitage as Douglas Andrews
I have no idea who to cast. as Magdalena "Maggie" Quinn
No idea who to cast here as Simon Turner
Ashley Madekwe as Henry Harker (unsure about this one)
Tom Hiddleston as James Warren

Guest:

Matthew Macfayen as Richard Whitman
I have no idea as John Whitman
David Dawson as Charles "Charlie" Whitman
I have no idea as Thomas "Tom" Whitman

Casting Maggie and Simon is rather hard. Maggie is this pale girl with brown hair that falls down in curls. Her eyes are unique. She looks young, but she's old and despite her innocence, she's been around and had a lot happen around and to her. Casting someone for her is rather hard, because she'd have to have that sweet innocence, but be able to go in many different directions. Simon is tall, lanky, with brown hair and eyes. He's sarcastic and lazy, but loyal and kind. Plus, he's got some wolf/dog like movements.

John Whitman is just an evil evil man, and I just can't think of anyone that plays evil well right now. Tom is really lovely and kind and child-like at times, but there is major darkness in him; almost an uncontrollable anger. It's hard to think of anyone for him, actually.

Hmm. Maybe Emilia Clarke as Maggie? She plays Daenerys on GoT, but her natural hair color is brown, anyway, and she's terrific at that innocent look.
