Once Upon a Time Casting News

Interesting news in the casting department at Once Upon a Time.

Emilie de Ravin (Claire from LOST) has been cast as Belle, as in Beauty and the Beast's Belle. She'll have a connection to Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle). No word on whether the titular Beast will appear, but Gaston is slated to pop up as well.

She will first appear in Episode 12, slated to air early next year.

Oh, I've liked Emilie de Ravin since Roswell. And it's interesting that everything seems to be circling back to Rumplestiltskin.

I've always loved Emilie de Ravin, so I'm happy she'll be on the show. Even if it is just for an episode. I agree:the fact that Rumplestiltskin is playing such a large role in all the stories is very interesting.

Whoa, if they're doing all the Disney connections, I may just have to drop in. No Ariel yet?

Not so much Disney, as straight up fairy tales. It's really good so far and I'm loving their takes on the classic fairy tales. The Little Mermaid is Hans Christian Andersen and the show seems to favor the stories written/collected by the Grimm Brothers, so who knows if she'll appear.
