Two Random Drama Thoughts

Mitsu no Aji ~A Taste of Honey~ is a drama I'm so glad I didn't watch. Because it was apparently awful. The entire drama was filled with unlikeable characters and lackluster chemistry.

So glad I just read about the drama and never bothered with it.

Second:

Can there be a law that actresses over, say 25, aren't allowed to play "cutesy" roles. I'm fine with an actress, whose say 27, playing an innocent or lively type. But, I hate when a grown woman - whose clearly in her late 20s or older - acts like she's thirteen or like she has special needs. And then, of course, some handsome and mature man falls for her.

Where is this coming from you ask? I'm not sure. I'm not sure if it was twenty-six year old Koo Hye Sun playing a seventeen year old and mugging for the camera. Or if it was the recent trend in drama to have women in their 30s playing against men in their early 20s; so to make up for the age difference, they make the men very mature and the women romantic immature and needy. I'm not sure. But, somewhere along the way - I just broke.

I like my drama heroines a bit mature, at the very least. They can be lively and maybe a bit naive about the world/romance, but. . .they can't be mugging for the camera or acting childish. I can't handle that.
