Upcoming Drama Happiness

Firstly, I want to give all my American f-listers a Happy 4th. I think it's become too crazy, but even I ate the hotdogs and the red, white, and blue strawberry shortcake.

Secondly, Myung Wol the Spy has several stills out - it looks like a fun drama with a bit of angst thrown in. Is it July 11th yet?

Thirdly, I'm suddenly looking forward to the weekend drama A Thousand Kisses because of the secondary cast: Kim So Eun (Boys Before Flowers) has been added as the leading lady's (Seo Young Hee) younger sister. She's also in love with Ryu Jin's character (Summer Scent, Loving You a Thousand Times). And Ryu Jin's character may or may not be the ex-husband of Seo Young Hee's character. How juicy!

Fourthly, a new Korean drama has been announced - Forget Me Not and the leading man is rumored to be Song Seung-Heon (East of Eden, My Princess). Also, the drama will be written by Kim Soo-Hyun, who wrote the weekend drama hits Life is Beautiful and Mom Has Grown Horns.

I'm so excited for Kim So Eun's new drama! I'm actually looking forward to the Ryu Jin/Kim So Eun pairing. But then I feel really pervy because that man is old enough to be her father!

I'm wondering if those two really will end up together in the drama?

KSE was one of the only good things about Boys Before Flowers. She's usually one of the only good things about any dramas she's in. So, I'm really hoping that this drama will be good. Isn't Ryu Jin 39 or so? It's a bit perverted, but he can look young if he is styled right. Plus, she's been playing older than her age lately. She's 22; she just looks young. The age difference is 17 years.

Dramas are really getting into two OTPs and Ryu Jin isn't the male lead. And, this is a weekend drama, so there is a good chance they will get together.

Wasn't she though? I think she was partially the reason I ended up sticking around for the BBF trainwreck. Yeah I think he's 39. Your right, she does play older than her age. Its just kind of funny cause she was in the same type of romance in her previous daily drama.

OHHH I really hope so! I want him to get his own girl. Ryu Jin is too awesome to lose out on the girl!

The three characters in my icon are the only reason I stayed with the show. And, I mostly fast forward through it; only watching their scenes. I looked it up, he'll be 39 in the Fall; so he's currently 39, nearly 40 by the Korean calender. She's 22 by the Korean calender and will be 23 this Fall (born in '89; he was born in '72.) I watched a lot of her last drama, the daily one. Her romantic interest was born in '78. So, she seems to be someone who will get paired with older men.

I'm not sure how the story will play out, but I have a feeling Ryu Jin will get the girl. :) He deserves it.

I loved them all too! I wish that WB got more of a storyline though. I watched a little bit of the daily series and I only watched for her scenes :)

He really does! Ryu Jin is such a cutie, it really sucks to watch him constantly miss out on the girl.

WB should have been given a larger role or a storyline. But, to fair, his Japanese counterpart doesn't really have a lot to do either. I only watched her scenes too.

I think Ryu Jin has made a career of playing the secondary guy or the jerk. I'm interested in who he'll play.
